Lent-Day 7

Hello,

Sorry I'm late! lol busy night! anyways today went good, no impulses at all and I even drove past little Ceasers which believe me is very difficult with there damn $5 pizza's lol. The days are getting shorter it seems, whether its because I'm eating healthier or its because they're busy days.. either way I don't care things are working out for me.

Alright thanks for reading, Have a good night all.

Lent-Day 6

Hello,

So today went well, I went to school all day and had to take care of some business after it and went downtown and then went home. Not once today did I feel the need to go and pick up or eat fast-food, which is my books is a good day :P. In a way I think most of my success with this is the fact that I am doing this for living a purer life and also that "I" wanted to do it and not because I was told too. Well not much to report today its been a pretty straight forward day.

Alright, Have a good night guys!

Lent-Day 5

Hello,

Today went well, was back at school so I had to talk myself out of going out for lunch to a fast food place. I really didn't feel the need to eat out today which was good, in fact it's so busy with school and homework I almost forgot to make a blog today hah. I packed a lunch and ate it which was better and cheaper for me anyways, so that part was nice and easy. Now on Sunday as you guys already know it's a day of rest and I didn't even have to do Lent, but I chose to stay away from fast-food anyways because if I ate it I know I would want more so I didn't. I was still tested I felt on Sunday because without even thinking about it I went out with some people I know and it was around supper and they took me to A&W and even offered to buy me a meal, but I very hesitantly thought about it.. it's my day off and it wouldn't be against any rules... but I just said "Thank you for the offer, but I'm actually doing a thing called Lent and the thing I chose to give up was fast food" so they asked me about it and offered me anything and I just ate a salad. So as you can see God really tested me, and I believe I did well and passed, so hopefully my strength will continue over the next 35 days of Lent.

Okay thanks for viewing, have a good night. PS: sorry I'm so late :P

Lent-Day 4-also review of week

Hello,

So this is day #4 of the 40 day Lent Process, and since it's a Saturday I will be doing my weekly review I promised. Unfortunately since uploading videos on here isn't working I will only be doing a text review on here. Day #1 went very smoothly, of course since it's the 1st day hah. Day #2 went just as smoothly, I had like no urges to eat fast food and I was successful in not eating any. Of course, it was my week off so I got bored at times which I mentioned before.. boredom=weakness to eat fast food. Yet even though I was bored and hungry I still managed to not fall for the cheapness and readiness of fast food restaurants. Day #3 was pretty much the same as the other two days, I had a few urges because I was bored but I just ignored them and ate normally. Today day #4 was very easy for me, I kept myself busy so eating never even came up in my mind so no urges or weakness to go and get some. Lets not forget the fact of being broke makes everything easy when not eating fast food, unfortunately the days when I have money will be the greatest challenges. I am lacking on the whole getting closer to God in this challenge, even though I am happy with where I am at in my faith..  I would still like to use this opportunity to get closer and a stronger faith. I have been getting used to just living, and not worrying about money or work. Well I have 36 days left of Lent, and I can't wait to see what this process brings me during it all. I would like to think after it's all done I can do Lent as way to quit another thing I shouldn't be doing, like eating healthier which is a much harder task.

Okay well I am coming to an end, sorry it's shorter than I thought it would be.. but what can you do? it's all in the process and that's all I've got to talk about :P. Okay have a good night all.

Lent-Day 3

Hello,

So day #3 went pretty good, I had no urges at all to have fast-food. I believe a lot of the time it's in the person's head that they are hungry.. But I mean yes I get hungry, and all I really need is something small. For me fast-food always was just a snack(I know that's sad but I can eat a lot :P), I mean some fast-food meals filled me, but only the big ones which were really bad for me. I can eat pasta and a meat and veggies and actually be full with one helping.

Alright so this concludes day #3, have a good night all.

Lent-Day 2

Hello,

So this was day #2 in the 40 day Lent process.  Well again, not much to say.. I was a little bored earlier and when I get bored I like to eat(I know, it's a bad habit) but when I was bored the first thought that came to my mind was well I'm bored and hungry, might as well kill 2 birds with one stone and go out for some food.. where can I go?. At that point I reminded myself I can't, I'm doing Lent. Well I've done different things in the past to make me stronger in not going out for food, I've prayed and kept eating apples or other vegetables which is difficult for me considering I don't like most vegetables lol. Usually when I quit I struggle and eventually go back to my old ways, but for this time, even though it's only 2 days in.. I got a feeling about it. Maybe its the power of Christ behind me, knowing I'm doing it for him makes me stronger? I don't know but what ever it is, it's working.

So now day 2 ends, and keeps me waiting for day 3 to start. Have a good night all.

Lent-Day 1

Hello,

So now day 1 is done in the 40 days of Lent. Well not much to report, I mean today was easy because #1 its the first day and #2 I have no money :P. All jokes aside I had no desires to go eat fast food or nothing brought it up to mind. Now I made a video for the introduction but it doesn't want to upload to here.. so I'll try one more time and if worst comes to worst I can always upload to Facebook for you guys to watch, but I would much rather have it here. On Saturday, I may instead of make a video just make a larger in length blog and summarize how the first week went.

Alright, which now brings me to a close, have a good day.

Introduction

Hello,

My name is Clifford and I'm going to be doing Lent for the next 40 days. Starting February 22nd 2012, I will be cutting out all fast food  from my life until April 8th, 2012.

Here is a description of lent: Basically Lent is a season of the Christian faith year, where one would give up something they love for 40 days to focus on simple living, prayer and fasting. Lent is the forty days before Easter, except Sundays because Sundays are considered to be like Easter.

I will be doing a daily blog every day of the week and talk about how things are going, whether or not I'm having urges to eat fast food or if its making me feel better. Also to see whether or not things are improving health wise and see if  I feel the need for fast food anymore or not. I will also be seeing if I've lost any weight in those days. Depending on my camcorder, I will be attempting to make a video every week to talk about how the week went and summarize everything I've talked about throughout the week as well.

Okay, here goes nothing.
